The Bertelsmann Foundation is one of the largest charitable organizations in Germany. With its NEUE STIMMEN initiative, it gives young singers from all over the world the opportunity to make their dream of a future in the operatic field come true; both the competition and master classes are geared toward sustainable career development. NEUE STIMMEN has been one of the most prominent projects for the promotion of young talent in the global classical music scene for the past 30 years. In 2019 alone, nearly 1,500 singers from 80 nations applied. Past winners include international stars like René Pape, Kristine Opolais, Natalie Stutzmann, Nadine Sierra, Elsa Dreisig and Christiane Karg. Over the years, NEUE STIMMEN has also evolved into a hub of industry knowledge that fosters significant advances in the cultural sector in general, as well as into a network that brings together exceptional artists from around the globe. PS Music has been assisting in this change since 2011 with press and public relations strategies that befit the complexity of a global initiative for young talents, providing it with a clear voice. Our tasks include consultancy, support regarding global communication strategies and PR workshops for participants of the competition. In the past, we have also worked on other projects of the Bertelsmann Stiftung, including the ‘Musikalische Grundschule’, devising targeted PR measures and consulting on project development .
