In March 2017 Pierre Boulez Saal first opened its gates and in no time, this new cultural space established itself as a one-of-a-kind venue and musical meeting place. Designed by star architect Frank O. Gehry in collaboration with acoustics expert Yasuhisa Toyota, named after one of the most important musical figures of the 20th century and graced with regular performances by the exceptional musicians of the Barenboim-Said Akademie, Daniel Barenboim himself, the Boulez Ensemble and countless other renowned artists, the hall has raised the profile of the German chamber music scene on a global scale. PS Music accompanied the project from the get-go, starting with announcement of the construction works in 2013 right until the official opening in 2017, and supported the project team with regards to international press relations. Be it the New York Times or the LA Times, the guardian, the BBC or ZDF heute journal: all leading European and North American media outlets joined in the celebrations.
